Evolvers were awarded £2,000 thanks to the Talent Fund and have been going from strength to strength as Nick Bryne, lead singer of the band explains; "A big thank you for the funding which has enabled us to record and produce the video for our new single Reflections. This has made a big difference to the band."
Nick recently branched out as a solo artist with a tour of the UK as part of the Busking for Cancer Research week sponsored by Fender. Nick performed at Starbucks venues across the UK in July which consisted of 9 performances culminating with a performance in Swansea.
Nick‟s single "Anna‟ was released in July and the album "4:15am‟ was released on Monday 6th September 2010.Both releases will be through Dragonffli Records.

Equipment Bank purchases:
A second dimension to the role of the Talent Fund is offered through an equipment bank full of musical and film equipment that successfull applicants can hire at no cost.
The equipment is managed by Young Wales and was in response to the need of young people wanting to practice and develop their musical skills but not being able to afford the expensive equipment required.
The equipment bank allows young people to borrow equipment for a specific time and allows them access to high tech equipment that would normally be out of their reach. To find out more about the equipment bank visit www.youngwales.org

Arts Council of Wales Awards:
Funds were awarded to the Advanced Study Awards for Music run by the Arts Council of Wales and supported by HRH The Prince of Wales. The Talent Nurture Fund supported three aspiring musicians from former coalfield communities to be trained to the highest level. The direct beneficiaries of the Coalfields Talent Nurture Fund were:
